This is a list of documentations, procedures packing requirements and charges needed for exporting pets, from Kuala Lumpur to Australia, as advised by MASkargo.
Documents Needed.
1. Health certificate an original certificate, issued by a private or Department of Veterinary Malaysia, stating that the pet is healthy and free from any contagious or infectious disease at the time of inspection' is required for all pet/s entering/leaving Malaysia. Please note that certification is only valid for 7 days.
2. Export Permit from Department of Veterinary, Malaysia.
3. Health Certificate from Department of Veterinary, Malaysia.
4. Rabies Certificate.
5. Import Permit Obtainable from country of destination. Shippers must produce fax copy Import Permit.
Procedure
1. Call Animal Hotel to get an Airwaybill Number at 03 8777 1847.
2. Make your booking with MASkargo Reservation Department by calling 03 8777 1655
3. Shipper must communicate with MASkargo Reservation to ensure the booking is confirmed and ready to uplift.
4. Prepare all the necessary documents.
5. Bring your shipment to the Animal Hotel at least 5 hours prior to flight departure time.
6. Custom clearance must be done, after verified by the Custom, all an originals documents must be return back to Animal Hotel counter for the final submitting.
Packing Requirement
1. Cage must be suitable for the animal and must follow the IATA Live Animals Regulation and please follow all the guidelines in the each container requirement which is designated to the specific species.
2. Feeding/watering facilities must be present within the container with outside access for refilling.
3. Kindly ensure an absorbent material such as towel inside the cage this is to absorb urine or liquid from the water container.
4. Any consignment will be rejected if found insufficient and not following IATA standards.
Charges
1. Animal Hotel counter will only accept payment by cash or credit card.
2. All live Animals will be charge by volumetric or whichever is higher from the density weight.
3. Different destination will incur different rate as applicable in the publish rate and IATA TACT Rules manuals will be the guidelines. Changes will follow any current charges when changes are applicable.
4. All payment must be done during submitting time, and last final process at Animal Hotel counter.
Rate
1. Freight Charges 20.05 per kg
2. Terminal Charges 00.25 per kg
3. Airwaybill 20.00
4. Category Charges 30.00 per Kennel.
Others
1. Accommodation charges RM150 per day (more than 8 hours stay in Animal Hotel)
2. Freight charge based on volume or actual weight, whichever higher.
